Copper Mtn Closing 4-15-07 pics

We had a one hellofa bluebird day with unbelievable snow for an end-of-season day (go figure…NOW they must close up ). Crowds low on the mountain as the multitudes congregated down at center village picking a space for the eod food, concert and party.

Being lead around the mountain by one of Coppers finest instructors, I swear Tsavo tried her best to drop each of us off hidden cornices. Of course she always commented between her laughter, “wow, I didn’t know that was there?!”(yeah, right Katy )

Group for closing day:
Bklyntrayc, Tsavo, Betsy, Joan Heaton and friends Bob & Peggy:

1. Tsavo, Betsy & DonDenver just off Storm King lift heading down to Spaulding Bowl.
2. Tsavo & Betsy fly down Spaulding Bowl. (it was bright!)

Size does not matter…

…in skiing as I’ll certainly testify. Those who have skied with Joan Heaton know she can still rip.

…just great! Thanks dooky. The one time in my life I drop a pole from a lift into early morning frozen coral…and you’ll never let me live that down. Don’t I get any credit for not bleeding to death in retrieving it?

As for the ladies my friend…

as for the ladies...

must be that new jacket, eh?

Great way to spend closing day at Copper!!! Skiing was good and the company was even better!

After PT this morning I might call it quits for this season(new pain in the shoulder blade area). I'm sure if the snow stays good I can be talked into a few more days! If not- Thanks to all for a great season and see you next winter!!

Sad to see the season close with all that snow left. Looks like a great way to end.

We have one or two more weeks here in New England.

Just think, next season is only 6 months away

I think the snow report for closing day at Copper was reporting the deepest base of the season. It was at least very close to it, if not. Good on ya'll for getting up there; sorry I missed it!

Glad to see the pictures, but it is really sad to see them closing with all that snow on the ground!! I would love to have such good snow any time of year.

NO

I now have decided i need to invest in a camera.

1. the DonDenver pole episode would have been caught on "tape."
2. The bloody coral retrieval process would have been caught on "tape."
3. We'd actually have pix of the bra/panty tree @ Vail on this post
4. You'd get to see my spectacular sideswipeout @ Alpine Meadows last weekend after 5 turns on virgin soft serve and a last minute ditch to avoid running over a grouping of rocks. My buddy Trevor is still laughing his a$$ off about this.

While not Copper Mtn, if I had tried to retrieve a pole here I would have come back with grass, rock and mud stains...Regardless...do you see something in the trees??

And for $500.00 and a chance for the washer and dryer; what specific lift is this serving what bowl?

The judges have been recalled and have been sequestered to review your response. Unfortunately, no timeline has been given as to a final verdict. We can only ask for your patience. Thank you.

Found out where the judges are being held and had a brief word with the HEAD judge. Seems they are concerned with DonDenver. They seem to think he is a little shady!:

So once again I will update my answer-
What is chair 5- aka High Noon that serves Sun Down Bowl?

I still hope I win!

The judges have rendered their ruling in the affirmative. YES, you are correct with your answer Tsavo! Congratulations.

Unfortunately, there is some rather bad news regarding the prize money as well as the washer and dryer. An unscrupulous judge ran off with both the prize money and the lovely matching Kenmore Heavy duty front load washer and dryer. Further, since that judge was also responsible as our primary attorney drawing out the prize rules as well as the indemnification and insurance paperwork covering all prize accounts; we find ourselves in a position unable to offer you anything other than a most sincere thank you for playing.

However, feeling just as awful about this situation as we are, a few honest judges and I pulled together some funds and commissioned a local artist who rendered for you the following that is titled:

Tavso and two friends looking for some action, preferably patrollers, outside Vendettas, Vail CO.
