I was there today and the conditions are about the best they've been all season. The bumps tightened up and have nice lines. Today there was a nice soft surface and if you hit em straight on, they pretty much exploded. Every bump run today was so fine.
Afternoon: snow softened a bit too much. In the woods the snow stayed lite. Today was a superb day in the woods, tons of snow. We skied the fall line skier's left of Ovation and it was amazing. You could tell by the look on the faces of other skiers rippin it up. A lot of snow, baby, and I only hit a few rocks down at the bottom. For me that slope in general had the best for woods - steep and tons of snow.
Also skied the woods skier's right next to Norstar, beautiful - soft, rythmic, and dry.
I would pass on Ovation for a second run. Looked good from the deck but still too many rocks.
The Canyon chair was not running and it should have been. They are short staffed a bit but it's not as noticable on a great day like today
