Who makes my dream ski?

Thread Starter
I'd like a ski that is turny like my AC4, stable like my Atomic Rex(a 191), has a lot of rebound(I like lively skiis, not damp skiis), midfat of 85mm to 90mm. I have some Gotamas for anything soft and over 6inches deep. I want a flat ski because I'm very partial to my FKS bindings. I weigh 235 with everything on ready to go. Most of my skiing is off piste. Moguls are a plague best avoided. I'm thinking a turn radius in the 20m to 23m range. Off piste I like a straighter ski than for groomer carving. I'm faster than most and slower than some. I'm trying to come up with a list for demo time.

I'd check out Stockli's site.

Might be the '08 Dynastar Mythic Rider 122-88-110 (21m @ 178) It will also come in a 184 and 189. It has been the favorite ski of the shop crew this spring.

i'm willing to bet one of these small, independent companies makes your dream ski...a couple of them make mine!

This is easy. Pocket Rockets.

I have posted this here before. When you talk the serious skiers out west they well tell you they are Volkl people or Atomic people, etc. When you ask them what they have for skis, they will tell you there list. Most of the time in the list has Pocket Rockets in it. I have PR's and Guns in amongst all my Volkl's.

185 PRs, before they went to the 101mm waist. Good call.

Off topic, but when someone tells me they're a Volkl or Atomic person, images of Spyder wearing heel pushers immediately come to mind. Good to have a face to match the name, Max.

Dimension. I am not sure of the mean greens dimensions, but I know they are different.

Piss Greens in a 181 were: 82mm underfoot
Piss Greens in a 188 were (i think) a 92 underfoot
Piss Green Pros were: dunno

this past season's 181 were a 86mm underfoot with the 188 staying at 92, i believe. not sure about the Pros.

they've ditched the Titan 9 for next year, i believe, though, and gone to an integrated binding system.

good luck finding Blizzards, though, as they lost their distribution via Daeballo and most of the stores i know who used to carry them aren't anymore.
