Killington Pass for 07-08 pricing...

I just heard the Killington midweek pass for 07-08 will be $799.00. If that IS the case...no more Kton for this family. Over the past 2 seasons, my family spent $3600.00 on passes, that will be going to zero. Our money will be going to Okemo and MRG in 07-08

Wow! I hope that's not true! I'd be out as well. 800.00 for full pass maybe!

Don't bet on it. Full pass will be more in line with the other mountains. Looks like the new owners don't want to lose money on the cheap people who buy the cheap season pass and don't spend any other money at the resort.

Resorts need to make money in order to stay in bussiness. The cheap pass may be nice for the skier, but when there is no money coming in the resort will be shut down or sold.

With the cost of energy and all the increase expense's that effects, I'm sure you feel it in your everyday life, you must be able to see where there losing money.

But hey the snow is great, why don't you come up and ski this weekend. Or will it cost you much in gas?

Sorry it this sounds hash but welcome to the real world.

I have fellow ski club members that bought Okemo's value pass for next year. I think they said it was $599 ?

If your looking for a cheap overnight our club charges $10.00 a night for members. It's in the center of Ludlow VT and on the bus route for Okemo and 35 minutes from Killington. PM me.

But hey, next season is just over 6 months away. Life is good.

My K-mart newsletter on Friday specifically addressed this, saying "the season pass rates are yet to be decided, and you'll hear it first in the newsletter" Their website is still showing last year's stuff. How can they make a decision when everything is still up in the air. If Okemo and Sugarbush were smart, they'd offer a killer discount, expiring on May 1, for next years pass. They'll steal a big part of K-mart's customers.

According to the Stratton site, midweek, good at Stratton, Okemo, and Sunapee is $279 if purchased by April 30. Holidays excluded.

Phil,

Is your source reliable?

The official word that I got from Killington last week is that they will announce prices some time in mid May. The new owners are in transition this month. They said don’t believe any of the rumors. They had heard prices ranging from free to $1000, but nothing has been announced yet. They also said, they know there are lots of other inexpensive passes available and it isn’t likely that they would want to give up a significant group of customers who buy the pass now.

Keep the faith it may not be that bad.

If it's true, then I'm out.

I think Okemos "Frequent Skier card" will be our best option.
