Worst ski movie ever made

It has to be this nugget:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085363

Jim Carrey's first leading role: Copper Mountain. Gee, it sounded like a good time. NOT!

Nothing more than 10 whole minutes of bad dialogue with Rita Coolidge singing throughout most of it. Booooooring! Even Jim Carrey's first attempt at skiing, which could be hilarious, isn't.

Any other Raspberry awards for ski movies?

I can't remember the title but but there was a porn flick in the early 70's with a ski theme. Indeed, it was ski clothes they took off and there was a poster of Corky Fowler jumping off a cornice above the sofa where the action took place.

I just watched Jim Carrey's "Copper Mountain" again last week. I have to agree, it is the worst. I am not going to watch it again until next fall.

For a list of Hollywood ski movies see:

Can't say I actually saw the movie, but this is my favorite ski movie poster:

Sorry, this is about the WORST

and the worst is Johnny Tsumani.

A sequel is threatened for later this year.

the movie "Frostbite" is almost certainly the worst movie I've ever seen. I'd attempt to describe it, but I just wouldn't do it justice. You should ABSOLUTELY rent it as soon as you have the chance and need a spectacular laugh. It really is so awful that it's a blast to watch. really. rent it. now. please. now.

How about Downhill Willie/Ski Hard? Absolute garbage.

It stars Keith Coogan (yeah, Uncle Fester's grandkid). You may remember him from such classics as Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Adventures in Babysitting, Toy Soldiers, and Hiding Out.

If your friend ever offers to show this movie to you, RUN!

I remember seeing a video about 20 years ago called "There's No Sex Like Snow Sex". I would not consider it porn, at least not in the hard-core sense. Maybe not quite even really soft-core. More just a silly dirty attempted sex comedy.

Don't know if this is it but that's all that come up on an IMDB search

Oh, the movie "Shallow Hal" had skiing in it and I thought that movie really sucked. The outside ski stuff was filmed at my home mountain but I think everything was cut except one few-second shot of the mountain at night. All the indoor lodge stuff was done elsewhere. I heard that the credits at the end show some ski stuff but I could never sit through it to find out.

Corky Fowler... now there's a porn star name if I ever heard one. What ever happened to Corky, anyway?

Sylvia or Sunny

Okay, here's the big question..... Sylvia or Sunny???? (or should the question be rephrased as "Plastic tits or girl next door?")

"I had Sunny side up. Und I had Sunny side down. Und I had Sunny side all the vay around."

OK, here's a fairly new one that's really bad, Icebreaker. I saw it as I was walking through a supermarket and when I read the plot and saw it was shot in Killington, my second home mountain, I had to buy it.

I can't believe you actually found the "Sunny" music. Nice job. And for the record when I was fourteen it was all about Sylvia but now that I am old it's all about Sunny.

As for the movie Icebreaker, I haven't seen it yet but it is now on my Netflix que. Come on, how can a ski movie with Samwise Gamgee, Mike Hammer and Ash from the Evil Dead be bad? Oops I think I just answered my own question.

Funny how that happens, isn't it?

Sunny definitely 'floats my boat'. The feathered hair brings back memories of some seriously fun times from those days gone by.
