I ended up going up to MRG today. The skiing was great. I didn't find single line too crowded. At one point, while eating lunch after 1, it looked crowded, but, otherwise, seemed to move quick (too quick for me, actually...would have liked longer rest between runs). I did Catamount to Lynx to Beaver for you, Phil. I love that run.
By the end of the day, the troughs between bumps were starting to get scratchy (still edgable, though) and even bare in some spots. But still a lot of powder on the bumps themselves. The woods are also in great shape. The single did break down at end of today, but it looked like they got it operational after about an hour of downtime.
Definitely one of my best days of the year. Wish I could say tomorrow was going to be great. But honestly I'm not sure (if you're in the woods, definitely; if you're skiing bumps and don't like harder troughs, maybe not...though didn't really bother me at end of day). There was also a lot of the mountain I didn't even hit (Paradise, Fallline, Antelope), so don't know how they're holding up. They may get some terrain-induced snow tonight, so check the report in the morning if you're able to.
