Finding wide brakes for old axial heels

Hi y'all,

I'm considering buying some superfat skis on an end of the season deal (supermojo 193's, obv :-D), but really can't afford new bindings. Where can I find extra wide brakes for axial pivot rossi bindings? Is it possible to bend the regular brakes enough to fit a 103mm waist without buying new brakes?

Thanks for your help!

If you don't want to bend the regular width brake or if you're unsuccessful, you can get them at untracked.com. The width for the Axial/Pivot wide brake is 100 mm, it will probably fit a 103 width okay.

Thanks for the help, guys! Wide brakes are way more expensive than I was hoping they'd be (I was hoping for ~$20), but that TGR method of bending using a vice and a ski pole is a sweet idea. Now I just have to decide whether or not I want to fork over for skis that I'll only have the opportunity/space to really let loose for a few days every year....

Thanks for the input, and I suspect I'll have a ridiculous quiver next year: 184 m777s as a go slow and relax ski, with 193 supermojos for turning it up.... wow, that's kinda scary. Thanks again,

goran
