Skis for utah this week?

This weekend i will be skiing at alta/snowbird and am looking for advice on what skis to rent. The weather is probably going to be warm and sunny. I am a level 8/9 skier getting 77 days so far this year in PA and NY. My skis are volkl 5 stars in 168 and rossignol 9s world cups in 155. Last year in utah i skied on a pair of old b3's, the one that was 94 at the waist, in 168. I liked those skis enough but i dont remember them to well. I also dont care about how the skis will carve, i will be staying off the groomed as much as possible.

Thanks

Get something longer than 168. That is all.

I hate to say it, but I don't really know if that's the best plan at this point...

good luck staying off the groomed in the mornings:.

I would bring the Volkls 5stars, if staying of the groomed is your thing on coral reef. Those would be the best skis for the frozen tracked up messed that is the morning off piste.

I was there last week (55 degs) and the snow was crusty in the morning and very soft in the afternoon. I rented K2 Outlaws, Recons and Nordica Afterburners. I had a little trouble getting enough edge on the Outlaws and I really liked the Nodicas the best in that snow.
