How will you remember "Bluebird" this Summer?

As the season sadly winds down for all of us, especially here in the East, I thought this would be a good time to recant some favorite bluebird pics of the season

I took these last Wednesday at Sugarbush... oh so blue! Also had some shots from MRG the day before, but Wed at Sugarbush was the clearest day I ever remember skiing. First trip I ever skied with my digital camera!

Nice pics, everything looks extremely beautiful!

Sadly we got only 2 weeks of decent skiing this year and there was no day with anything else but rainy fog..

I will remember blue bird as the fact we had high pressure for most of the year. At least when you cant have snow you can have sunny skies..

Great shots !! Last wed was our last day too-- what a great day to end a season it was 30 degree, sunny no wind and a pure joy to ski !

On to biking and golfing

Thx! It really was! I have some cool shots from the day b4 at MRG too(top of Paradise, the dead tree by the double chair) but it wasn't nearly as rich of a blue sky...

Thank you too! It was one of the most glorious ski days ever for me! I got the weirdest sunburn line in between my goggles and hat!

I was SOOOO happy I finally decided to ski w/my camera, it may have to be a regular w/me now, especially as its a few yrs old and I no longer care what happens to it. It also got me to stop every now and then and enjoy the scenery around me instead of just tear a**ing though it

I've already had a few rides and will be taking the clubs out next week! Still, I keep staring at my skis and boots thinking, "I can't believe that's it!"

MRG Shots

Here are said shots from MRG. First is from top of double, second is from top of Paradise, the shot I have of the person has to go sideways and doesn't come across great. They were just two AWESOME days!

Great shots!
So many great bluebird days this season! Think I only busted out the goggles 3 times this year (18 days skiing this year, the most I've ever done).

Normally, the views of lake tahoe are my favorite... but this year the view of Mt. Hood's summit takes the cake. Wish I brought the camera!

I'll remember blue bird as never having arrived this winter. Fog and blizzards. If it weren't for trees, we'd probably never be able to see. I'm starting to wonder why I even have a pair of sunny-day lenses.

This is the weather from december through march.

Once april hits, so do the showers. spring time in Japan may last a week if you are lucky enough to hit it. There are rumors on snow-forecast.com of a possible non-rainy day on sunday. wish me luck.

Viewing Samurai’s posting pic recalls for me a particularly spectacular bluebird day my wife and I had at Loveland. A crisp 13F with no clouds, no wind, 16 inches new, surprisingly nobody around us and, absolutely no sound but the compression of snow underfoot.

This pic Betsy caught of me having some fun was one of a few I posted in a prior TR and represents for me the most epic of bluebird days for this season.

Hope to see some more pics from the Bears...something to view during a hot summer

Cheers.
