which resort in utah this sun/mon

Thread Starter
so have been pouring thru weather reports for this week. big storm (1' to 2 ft for heavy wet snow) it says - coming up on tue/wed. and then it says
it would be in the mid-to-high 40s at 8000 ft on the weekend.
given that - my question is which resort should i ski on sun/mon.

- one thought i had was to do the interconnect on sunday - but they tell me - some of the BC routes are closed and they haven't been running it lately. but with some new snow - they may open it. so that may be a
possibility for sunday.

- with new snow - coverage is not going to be an issue. but with the warm up - off piste could be crusty, eh? hate that. wondering if I would be better off on the groomers. in which case should I spend a day at DV. instead of one day at Alta and a day at snowbird.

How is DV skiing lately?

The interconnect routes might be closed more due to avy hazzard issues than coverage. With the warm weather the past few weeks there have been lots of big wet slides, some running to ground. With the expected new snow and cooler weather things will change quite a bit.

As far as crusty conditions are concerned, I wouldn't worry too much. Mid 40's at 8000 feet isn't that warm and most everything at Alta/Bird/Solitude is far above 8000 feet.

Like he said. You'll be fine. The avy activity has been off the charts around here.
