All the Northwest MI ski areas (Crystal, Schuss, Nub's, the Boynes) remain open and generally have good cover. However, all are beginning to cut back on lifts and runs operated. Check individual websites for that information. If you want to know about Boyne Mountain specifically, PM me.
Thanks guys! I'm really looking to get in a couple more days with my daughter as she's come SO far this year. I don't want to wait until next year. I was even desperately looking into a quick trip to CO as I've got "the itch".
I'm excited to see things aren't quite as dire as they are down here.
We're also looking into maybe Searchmont as it's only a couple more hours. It seems quite a bit smaller than Boyne though?
Searchmont has been sketchy this season. Poor snow year and, apparently, they have some governmental restriction on use of water for snowmaking. Their website is unclear as to whether they're even open now.
Boyne Highlands and Schuss close this weekend. Nub's projects an April 8 closure. Boyne Mtn. general manager told me a week ago he's hoping to have skiing until April 15.
