Racer dies at Adstock

Thread Starter
Saturday, during a quick training run on a very easy trail, David Vaillancourt, a skier of Concordia University (in Quebec) collided with a tree after losing control of his skis. He died later in the weekend. I was in the start gate when news of the accident surfaced and everyone tought that he would be alright. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be and we lost a bright young man.

Just a shout out to his memory. I didn't know the guy, but we raced the same races and we battled for the same spot at the top.

Be careful everyone and please keep David's family in your prayers.

Always sad and keeps things in perspective that it's the real deal.

So others may learn, was there a problem with the netting or just in a place where the line was not thought to be a factor?

If a benevolent fund or trust is set up in his name please
let us know. We had a similar tragedy at Park City this year.
I would like to contribute as I am sure others would if the
information can be obtained.

Condolences to his family and friends

Sorry to hear about this. Hope he is in a place where the runs aren't too short and the liftlines aren't too long.
