Question on Atomic Sweet Daddy's

Thread Starter
I'm considering grabbing a newish pair of Atomic Sweet Daddys - vintage 05/06, and wondered how these perform underneath a beefcake skier, with these having a foam core and all. I'm a level 6 skier, 6'-2" and 240lbs, and have been the route before of buying skiis which were too soft, and again with the foam core wondered if the Sweet Daddy is stiff enough for the "heavier" skier aka "me".

If anyone can share some experience or wisdom I'd appreciate.

A 181 would be a fun ski for you. I have skied the 171's and had a blast on them.

I am 185lb and 6'1". Though I have not skied my 181cm Sweet Daddys a lot this season (only one big powder day) I think the ski is fairly stout. I have carved it pretty hard on groomed snow and it had no problem at all. This is definitely a soft snow ski -- it will scratch loudly on hard snow (sounds like raking concrete). Great ski though, with nice energy. By the way, it has a fiberglass core, not foam.

I mounted mine on the Atomic center mark, and that is way too far back for general all-mountain use -- about 4-5cm farther back than I would prefer. Were I to remount, I would go forward of that mark. But for powder, they love to float mounted on the mark. Which is of course how Atomic intended these to be skied.

I will send you a PM with more info...
