left Bay area at 5am. the storm had pretty much subsided. Caltrans website said chain controls from Nyack to stateline. I never saw a checkpost but a lot of slow traffic - with only the trucks putting on chains !! anyway - reached at 930.

It looked puurrrrrfffffect. temps in the high 20s. a little sun peaking out once in a while. light flurries throughout the day.

started out with a couple of warm up runs on roundhouse. then hit Summit and skidded out to Wolverine bowl. oh !man - thigh deep powder - with several untracked shots. I kept lapping W bowl all morning - not wanting to lose out. Heard estelle was nice too and bernie with a bit of hike - had tons of freshies. did not feel like hiking.

so in the afternoon - I went over to ALpine bowl - very nice - but i don't know why they don't run alpine double anymore. its one of my favourite lifts.
went over to Scott - looked very tracked out . headed out to Sherwood. the backside was badly wind scoured. frankly i have never had a good day in
the backside.

came back over to dropped right behind sherwood. nice deep snow right above lakeview. went back over to roundhouse for a few parting shots.

did not wait in lines all day. it was beautiful. am glad i made it before the weekend crowds run it down.

waiting for the next storm now.
