I think Heads typically come from the factory with a 1 degree base and side bevel. This season I had a pair of my Head XRC's tuned at Precision Ski in Frisco, CO. They told me that they put a .7 degree base bevel and a 2 degree side bevel on them. Without a doubt the best tune I have ever had out of a shop. Skied better than when they were new. My buddy also brought a pair of his iM72's there to be tuned with the same results. Of course, tunes are always subjective, not everyone is going to like the same thing. And if you get a crappy tune, it's not going to matter what the bevels are. But those are the guidelines that I've found that work for me.
