Used Atomic Titanium 10.26.need advise for bindings

Hi
Just joined this great forum, I am sure it will be a favourite.Thanks..
I am skiing for my grade 11 ski team, we won the gold at COSSA going to Blue Mountain tomorrow for the All Ontario's., wish us luck!
My dad was given these expensive used ski's old but in great shape.
No bindings:.not exactly sure what to put on them for bindings or are these ski's worth the expense.

I ski giant slalom and can't afford to buy brand new expensive ski's.The guy at the ski shop at Devil's Elbow says they throw these bindings out because they can't guarantee them to sell them legally. And I can't find out exactly what bindings I need.

Although I am doing well on my $100 Salomons would like to try a pair of pro skis and see how fast I can race plus put these old skis to use.

I hope to race with these skis next season so a response would be helpful. Thanks TeaL

No luck here so far, will someone please tell me where I might find out what bindings to buy for Atomic 10.26's. More names of forums please because I can't find this info anywhere else.
Thanks

Do a search for an ESS v.a.r. binding on ebay, they'll fit and they'll be cheap

...or you could get an Atomic Xentric 310/412/614.

With all due respect, you posted your original question here last night on a forum where most of the gear junkies are likely skiing because its Sunday..........if you're patient just a teensy weensy bit, you may just find your answers.

Sorry, just read the 11th grade ski team post, please disreguard the ESS v.a.r. comment, look for a Xentric 310 or 412.

Look for this: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Atomic-CR-41...QQcmdZViewItem

or these if the higher din and wrong color are better for your needs: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Atomic-Super...QQcmdZViewItem

Cheers,

By reading your post, it is admittedly very difficult to determine what exactly you want the final outcome to be in all of this. It might be helpful if we knew what you were currently using, and how much you wanted to spend. Also, what do you mean by "pro" skis? You said at the beginning of your post that you couldn't afford new skis, but by the end of the post you are considering new skis for next year?

Anyhow, the bindings that fit the OLD 10.26 (I think) are the Atomic "race" series bindings (310, 412, 614, and 1018). These should all have the same hole pattern and basic function as the old ESS Var bindings.

The bigger question here is - how do you expect to be competitive on a pair of, admittedly, out-of-date GS skis? They have got to be at LEAST 7 to 8 years old. If you are thinking of getting "pro" skis (still not sure what you mean by that) why not scratch the idea of dumping money into a ski that is really not what you need to be racing on? Honestly, if I had a pair of 10.26's with no bindings I would hang them on the wall over my tuning bench... They were great skis in their day, but will not hold their own against any modern ski of the same level (or perhaps even a lower level).

So... tell us what you are actually looking for. Spending money to mount up those 10.26's is a mistake since you will spend the same amount of money on new/used bindings and a mounting job as you would if you searched Ebay for a new-to-you pair of modern GS skis.

Sorry for the confusion, I meant the above Atomic Beta Race 10.26 ski's as the pro ski's which they must have been.
Thanks Greg that is exactly the advise I needed to hear not exactly what I wanted to hear but....I was hoping to race with better ski's next year so I guess I better start looking for adequate affordable ski's.
Thanks for everyone's comments and hope you all had a good ski day.

Search on eBay for skis. They are usually very cheap there in the fall when racers are getting their new skis and unloading their old stuff. I think you will be much better off in the long run.

Actually Herman Maier was recently skiing on skis very similar to those, beta construction and 26 m radius.

Gregs right though: no way are those the right ski for highschool racing. See if Atomicman has a pair to sell you.
