Lars, this is a great set of questions, and a great angle to consider.
What about, "it looks like fun, so I thought I'd give it a try"? It is these folks that I am most interested in considering, myself. They don't have a lot of impetus to succeed, but they are interested enough to try it. The "I'll try anything once" crowd and those looking for experiences. How can we help them have a great time and turn into yet another ambassador for the sport?
We can at least help those who are surfing the web because they are interested in skiing and want to learn more about how to enjoy their experience whether it's their first or tenth.
I am very tuned into the struggles of beginners and those who want to learn. I've spent many days and nights helping skiers get down slopes they couldn't ski. Left by friends and others to fend for themselves. And worse, having to give first aid to those who were injured because they were unable to ski the terrain they were on.
We should all take the time to be ambassadors for our sport so that the meek can enjoy and come to love this thing called skiing. This is why I have enjoyed Epic Ski all these years. We have that opportunity right here. Getting the word to everyone though is impossible.
