Finn by Jon Clinch ...congratulations!

I just got my copy of Finn in the mail! The second I saw the box from Amazon, I started singing, "I've got a Golden Ticket" from Willy Wonka!

I am so excited!

I don't want this buried in the Lounge. A book like this, from the husband of a fellow Bear, needs some exposure. :

And some kudos:

This book is huge!
Its one of the top 300 book sales on Amazon.com.
Wendy originally posted the newsweek article in the lounge but this is fitting to announce the success of a fellow Bear! Kudos to Jon!

Thanks, guys! And should I also mention it's been in the top 200 on Barnes & Noble.com? And it's B&N's on-line book club pick for March?

Plus his smiling face was on the front page of the LIFE section of USA Today on Tuesday (Feb. 20).

Here's the link to the USA Today article:

Jon will be on a national book tour, beginning Feb. 26. So go see him if you can! You can find the schedule here:

I'll be with him on Feb. 26th in DC and Feb. 27th in Philly, as well as on March 30 in Manchester, VT, so stop by and say hi!

A quote from the Times Union (Albany): "Clinch shot for the moon, and I admire him for it," Champlin said (Twain scholar). "He came very close to creating a classic."

Also, "at least one high school has already added "Finn" to its spring reading list..."

People are likin' it!

I know -- it's getting great reviews everywhere, from major papers (like The Washington Post, NY Post, San Francisco Chronicle, etc.), USA Today, Newsweek, People, Entertainment Weekly, Playboy.... the list goes on and on. Doesn't seem real.

The article in the Albany paper is from an Associated Press interview. It's appearing everywhere.

As you can imagine, I'm VERY proud of him. And justly so, as you'll see if you read the book. He did a fantastic job.

I have a critique of it, but don't know if it's proper for this venue. I have questions that are not related to the story, but rather the style, or perhaps just the editing. Is there a place to discuss this book?
