What a ridiculous story. The author keeps referring to the snow as being in San Diego, when it happens in the mountains above and away from the beaches. Only the truly simple minded would think this story is intriguing. Have a look at Mt. San Jacinto on the edge of Palm Springs. It towers almost 8000 feet above the city and gets snow during the winter months too, while warm temps are enjoyed below..... http://www.pstramway.com/video.asp
It looks like there's about a 40 degree F difference between Palm Springs (at the bottom) and the mountain top!
