Just curious. I don't know much about Atomics. My Elan race stock is a world away from other so-called race skis like the Volkls and Rossignols I have. I've never skiied these GS11s since getting them and have just been curious as to what I have. Perhaps I'll give them a try this weekend.
The older Atomic race stock all had a silver handwritten sticker from the Altenmarkt factory under the left toe piece with the flex numbers written in. On the 2004 models, this is how you knew they were race stock. The difference between regular race stock and FIS race stock was that the FIS race stock had black rubber vist-like plates.
Since I don't own newer race stock I can't tell you for sure where the flex numbers are written in. But it is my understanding that these are permanently stenciled on the tail. Atomicman should have an answer, or you can repost in the racing forum, someone will know for sure there.
