Just wanted to send a HUGE Thank You out to all of my Barking Bear friends for all of the great advise and answers to my questions that helped me reach my goal of passing my level II exam this past weekend! I passed both teaching and skiing all three days! (9 P's!)

You guys are the best!!! Thank You!

Anne,
great to hear about your silver pin. Wear it with a sense of accomplishment!

And as my first trainer/mentor said, "It is your path to gold".

It's always great to hear about instructors who pass their certification exam.

Are you planning on going for Level 3, Anne?

Great Job Miser!

Congratulations, Anne--a job well done!

All you skiers from Alpine Valley, Michigan--be sure to look up Anne for a lesson, and give her a well-deserved High Five for the rest of us!

Savor your success, Anne, and enjoy a few runs without pressure now, for a change. But remember--thar's Gold in them hills too!

Best regards,
Bob Barnes

Thanks again everybody for your great feedback! Yesterday it was freezing cold here in Michigan, but I turned on my headphones for the first time this season, and just went out and skied for about three hours by myself, not working on anything, and just enjoying the beauty of the day and enjoying the heck out of myself!

This was exactly what I needed after the stress of being in the exam all weekend! I'll want to do this quite a few more times before I buckle down and get ready for Level III.

In response to your question Baja, I'll probably try for level III next season, so look for many more questions and words of advise from me after the summer!

Thanks again to you all!

Nice, isn't it? It's easy to forget how just plain fun it is to ski without worrying about "which demo should I work on" on each run, eh? Worry about that Gold pin next season. You'll be all the better for it!

Best regards,

Congratulations, Anne. The silver pin is a great affirmation and means a lot in the world of snowsports instruction. I'm glad that you plan to take your education farther up the ladder. You might also consider the ACE and USSCA certs as you grow.

Super! You deserve it!

Anne,

I need shades from here from the shine of the pin. Nice going and enjoy the glow.
