I don't want to find myself in a position where I can't chat to people I care about on this website because of a banning or time out.

So in the interest of continued friendship, if you'd like to be able to communicate with me after I leave (should that happen), or should you leave (it could happen), please PM me and I will give you my home email.

We make friends on this site, and it's not just a place to talk about skiing and make money for ESA. It's about people meeting and becoming friends, and if someday you find your friend is banned or has a time out, there is nothing you can do to contact them again unless you get some information in advance.

That's all I'm doing.....nothing more or less.......and I should have done it a long time ago. I don't want to miss people I care about because I broke a rule, or someone else broke a rule.

Keep in mind that the site allows you to e-mail and/or IM others from their profiles, if they've enabled it. This isn't the same thing, but may also be useful if you'd like to use it to take a conversation to e-mail. I think this is a great idea, FWIW. I think that many profiles probably have out-of-date e-mails in them!

Yes, that, and if you're in time out, you can't access any of that!

I know. I created "Time Out." And it's intended to be temporary.

But, I was thinking about when one isn't in one of those limited states. Which is the vast majority of members most of the time. Eh?

I was in the middle of something with Little Tiger when she got banned. It took a lot of work just to try and get a message to her. It shouldn't be that way.

I don't want friends taken away at the drop of a hat, so to speak. Sometimes you are making plans to meet, or whatever, then POOF! They're in time out and you're in limbo. Not a good situation, and one I want to avoid.

With my erratic drug-fueled behavior lately, I'm afraid of being shut out of all communication with people, and that would not be good at this point.

Mattitude! Hello!

Gee, the last time I saw you, I couldn't really see you.

Healing slowly, and getting bitchy, can ya tell? A caged bird pulls his feathers out in frustration, doesn't he?

Guess I'm just lucky. I have no yen to chat with anyone who's been banned from this site. So far as I know, only the very most gratuitously obnoxiously offensive have been banned, after having been given fair warning, and the site is better for it. Thinking of two in particular, they have proven that they are capable of at least decent conduct and yet haven't let that get in the way of their bizarre and aggressive behaviour here.

Bonni, you're married to one of the most decent and tolerant people I've ever known - and he's that way both in person and on this site, and seems to be that way as a rule. I'm puzzled as to why you champion people who, without provocation, have threatened and insulted others.
