I was finally able to get it to grudgingly release by pushing the release button into a wall while pulling on the cable. Whew! I felt like I had been there for five minutes or so futzing with this thing. I kept expecting some mountain employee to come by and ask what the heck I was doing, but no one bothered me.
I was about ready to get a mountain employee and ask them to cut the lock, when it finally released. I wasn't looking forward to trying to convince them that these really are my skis, etc. What would I tell them? Anybody else have a ski lock fail on them like this? I've been using the little retracable locks for years; never had one fail like that before though.
