DUret Skis Monstre Fat - Page 2

M Dfe, part of the trouble is that the posters above do not see any new information, aside from the presentation of the ski itself. I would be interested in a discussion relating to topics such as:

How soft are these in torsion?

Do you believe that future monster fat skis will have flat bases?

dookey67, what do -you- see in the powder pics?

i don't want to sell our skis by all the ways
it's a product to make advance the mind of skiers
there is lot of work, i see

it's a ski for THE biggest day of powder in the year
just for enormous powder not for use every day,
but 3 or 4 times a year in Chamonix for example when more of a meter snow fall up 3000 meter high ( 9000 ft , no ?) in Grands Montets or in Aiguille du Midi,

Have you ever live these conditions ?

i give you the physical properties of the skis,
for the feeling of ride i just show you on the link 12 photos of action,
with a sequence.

It tells a lot about how the ski is riding
the video comes soon

nothing is comparable to this skis on the market,
it's 5cm more wide than the other biggest wide on the market

i hope you understand

I don't get into wasting time with pics/vid while skiing. I'd much rather just ski. Besides, photos capture your soul and I want to go to the Happy Hunting Grounds when I die.

But if you want a laugh, look at my profile.

I don't see anything in the videos because the link in the intial post is broke.

Also every time one of us asks for a review all DFE tosses back is more PR mumbo jumbo.

Tell us how it skis, not how great it is. Also, since from what I understand, Europe has been having a crappy season, is this just an attempt to unload a large back order of skis that haven't sold because of conditions.

Again, I say I have a brand new pair of Spatulas gathering dust. This time last year I would have been on them at least a half dozen times.

DFE, quit spewing the company line and actually give us a full-blown review of the ski. If you can't get one of your riders or somebody you know who actually rides this ski to submit a review.

I'm sure folks here would love to read a legitimate review of the ski rather than a continuous stream of "it's a ski for THE biggest day of powder in the year."

with a waist that wide anybody with half the sense The Supreme Being gave them knows that it's a big pow day kind of ride. HOW DOES IT RIDE, is the question.

I've read reviews of the Fatypus where they basically say it's too wide (other reviews have said it's great if you can get a serious waist+ deep day to take them out in).

Give us some REAL feedback on your product, not just endless loops of mindless hype (insert Public Enemy Harry Allen quote about not believing the hype here).

All I really understand is that you're trying valiantly to sell your product to the Epic faithful.

Not sure how that rubs me as it's one thing to have a consumer waxing ecstatic about a ski, but another entirely to have a manufacturer telling us how good the product is.

I need to hear some genuine feedback from some folks who actually ride the darn thing (which will probably be hard since I don't know of anywhere in the U.S. to score a pair least of all demo a pair).

The guy has 9 posts in this forum and all are in this thread. Doesn't that speak for itself ?
I'd like to see a response to Dookeys post. Let a user provide a review of the ski through the experience of having skied on it. We can all read dimensional info and the blah blah blah of the manufacturer but this is a skiers forum and our reviews that are of the best information come from hands on experience.
Let's hear some or is all we are going to know about this is from a spammer?
Of course, it's a spam ! Skipass, the french ski forum, has been "spammed" too. But you got to admit it's a rather cool spam... It's not like Duret is expecting huge sales in the US anyway.
And, Duret for Ever, if you want to get people excited by your pair of monoskis, you need to deliver more than a few tilted pics... Something like this, but with 2 monos instead of one...

if make an annonce is spam
ok i'am a spammer

we make an annonce on every website who had come a lot on the monster webpage on our site

i think it would interest you as the french forum skipass,
all forumers were ok, without 2 anti-fat mind, who cry to closed our post
I receive more 10 private message to continue to discuss about fat skis in general

i couldn't give you a test, i'am a spammer ...
when one of you will test these skis, he'll post a test as you like, if i do, you will shoot my post easy

I don't say it's the best for, i say these skis is for, little different

all i could say to you is that this day all riders were no pretty, one was smooth and smiley, make this info what you want
i no mind
All i could do it's show you the photos tests session and to give the program of the skis,
for make you understand the concept,

i have work again on it

I understand video is better,
all wants to do monoski after watch Monopopow the movie

the video comes when the meter snow will fall here

finally all i understand
that is very difficult for skiers to watch someone riding well on so Fat skis
and to think one day riding on these beast

too much people believe at a joke etc ... when the skis get out
and now what we doo, used pontoon in slalom ?

open mind
and
good luck

Hum, maybe you could share the thought process at Duret, with the Monster Fat. Because, and I'm not the only one, to me it really looks like an obese conventional fat ski. It looks like you took one of your monos and decided to sold it by pairs...
Most of really uber-fat designs these days are more than super fat. They are reverse cambered, rockered, they have alternative shapes... A lot of new things are experimented as far as big-pow-days-only skis are concerned, starting with the Spatula.
Yours is just ... huge. Is that all ?

dookey67, take a look at the first 4 in the second row here:

http://duretskis.com/docs/duret_monstre_fat.html

The knee positions are kinda interesting.

^^^^^^^

Yeah, what he said.

I mean, if you take this to it's (il)logical conclusion - if a 170mm waist is good, then a 250mm waist is even better. It seems that the Monstre is just a ridiculously huge version of an all-mt. ski. Wow - it's reeeeely big. Whoopee.

Et puis, psst, entre nous... Moi aussi j'ai parfois un peu de mal en anglais, je fais des fautes de vocabulaire, de grammaire et de syntaxe. Tout ça.
Mais là, ça fait franchement Borat quand même : "no soucy, don't shoot me too much in my back...". Un petit effort, peut-être... Ou tu fais exprès !?

You wouldn't happen to have any German relatives named O. Bernhard Franze, would you?

Sounds great . We will be looking forward to it. The only way to get to know a ski is to have someone ride it and let us know how it feels. Flex, shape and sidecut would tell us some also. Be specific . I understand your desire to promote your product. Give us something to think about.
