We will be riding from Astoria Oregon to Portsmouth, New Hampshire on our bicycles leaving June 17th.

Transcontinental ride taking 50 days averaging 85 miles per day

We (my two sons [16 & 21] and my wife) are raising money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation

we are at $10,830 so far... (hopefully the foundation will update their website soon to reflect the latest donations).
I am getting excited... only 131 days till we leave...
it is a very good cause...

If you want to and are able to make a contribution-- GO HERE -->

It was awesome and I came away with 2 main thoughts about our country:
  • It is very very BIG (not hard to ride accross just BIG)
  • there are very few people (lots & lots of Open space - even in the East)
