CS, BW, SJ: Thanks for advice. 183 probably right for me. I ski 95% Utah snow and will go down anything, but not at mach--more of a tear than a shred. Plus, with 4 kids I don't always get to pick the line. I'll keep the Karma 185 for the early season, old snow days, and occasional pipe fun (plus I like how they look).

I just got the 08 gotamas and a cosmetic flaw i noticed is the buddah at the rear of the ski which is a sticker. It is already coming off and i have a feeling it wont stay on the ski through the season. Looks like a sick ski though. deffinantly excited for the ski season to start.

Just got my 08 Got's today (thanx to Ptex for the sweet deal)

Sweet looking ski. Love the gold buddha on the tail. I noticed that mine are also peeling off already & I havent even skied them yet. Maybe have to pull them off & reglue? Any recommendations for a good waterproof glue?

Anyways, they are a pretty stiff ski for a powder ski. Stiffer than anything I have cept maybe the B5's. Very stiff underfoot & in the shovel. They'll prolly kill the crud but I'm a bit worried how they will float with such a stiff shovel. Usually a softer shovel helps to keep the tips from diving in the pow.

Gotamas

Wizard, One of my little fat guys had peeled off pretty bad and the other was starting to peel. Pliobond glue will work, however I just took both Buddas off as I really didn't want to constantly have this problem. Ice will separate almost anything. If you want to do glue job use Pliobond but follow the directions or you will have a hell of a mess.

Volkl recommends to just take the Buddha's off, so that's prolly what I'll do. Too bad cuz they are sooo cute ;D
