I'd need a lesson.......copy and paste? How do you single out a thread to copy??
Copy? You mean save it to your computer?
Yes, the suggestion was to save the thread for her use. There must be a way to lift the whole thread and save it to a CD or hard drive.

Is there a way to do what Kneale said...........lift the whole thread and save to cd, or even in a file in my documents?

Whenever you copy something, it gets all messed up with the screen names and stuff, making it a jumble of crap.

I painted today for 9 hours. I will most likely need a day off tomorrow. I feel like I have arthritis in every joint.

You can save each page using your File selection and label the pages .
If you have a version of Adobe Acrobat that generates pdfs and doesn't just read them you can save an entire thread to a pdf file. My wife used to do it for her Ultimate Baby web friends. I'll check in to it for you Bonni

On its way. Thanks!
I don't know how to copy to a file yet, but I'll look into it.

BTW, you are facing serious competition for most posts in a fitness thread from the quadriceps tear people. Please send them your sympathies and vibes. It sounds utterly painful.

Well, I tried reading that immense thread, but I couldn't keep track of all the players! It seems like there's 100 people with the same injury......all near 50 year olds and all men.

I'm just one old lady and there's really no competition.

I can't read any more threads on injuries. I tried for a while, to lend support and all that, but I just start feeling sympathy pains, and I have enough going on here on my own. When I can walk around in relative comfort, I'll start reading again.

With what you've been thru ... I'm glad to see that you still have your sense of humour. You're obviously one tough lady !

If there isn't a way for you to back this up at home, I'd like to think that an Epic forum moderator can pull some strings to have it done for you.

Take care of yourself.

Who you calling a lady?

I'm not tough...I just can't die yet. I have to live long enough to be a burden to the child.

I got a lovely pdf file from skidbump that I can print when I have the time. When this thread ends, I'll publish the book.

Tooth removal didn't have any effect at all painwise, dang it. I'm up to 600mg a day, and that's not enough. I've only got another week or so to get to top dose, so we'll see what develop. I'd rather take 600mg over 900mg, but I'm not getting the headache relief, I'm not sleeping well, and my digestive issues have come back again.

So your last post here was "Independence Day". Are you declaring yourself as recovered for all intents and purposes (or at least no longer backsliding)? You seem to be quite physically active lately with all your projects. I'm sorry the migraines still come. Docs never did diagnose figure out a reliable way to prevent mine, only some things that would work for a week or two.
Now they are experimenting with BoTox for migraine prevention. I have no idea where to go after bringing it up, might belong better in WTFH!

I'm dealing. Let's leave it at that.

I'm on 900 mg of Neurontin a day, and when I'm on my feet all day, I swell up like a balloon and the pain is bodywide. Lasiks make me pee all the time and that limits where I can go. If I'm home, it's not a problem. If I'm out, it could be.

Summer is a bitch for me anyway, and so far it's been fairly cool, which is good because we're moving and doing work on both homes at the same time, and the work is a bit much. Hopefully, it will stay cool........hahahahaha!

I've heard that Botox will help. Post the results?

Luckily my episodes are still waning so I'll probably not be changing any regiments. But, if you try it by all means post the results you get:
And don't forget:

Ok. tee hee

Here's a picture of my swollen leg while I was on vacation. I couldn't even bend my ankle.....it felt like it was going to burst. (there's no bursting on vacation!)

Geez, that reminds me of my wife's Pre-exclympsia
post #649 of 1017
And it's the Neurontin causing this? Wow.

I haven't swollen that badly since I got back from the West. Of course, I'm taking lasiks when needed.

Swelling is a side effect, and I'm lucky I only have that so far. If I moderate and sit for a while every hour, I can manage.
When you're cleaning and painting, etc., you're not using the feet and legs in a walking mode very much. I'm wondering whether you could reduce the swelling if you took a 10- or 15-minute little brisk walk every couple of hours??

Quite the opposite, Kneale.

I don't have the swelling as bad now that I'm NOT walking! When we were on vacation, we did a lot of walking on the beach during a 3 day stay in Oregon. That's when most of the swelling happened.

Now that I'm home and not walking distances, I'm much much better.

When I'm cleaning, painting, etc, I'm sitting on the floor to edge and stuff, so it's not all 'on my feet' work.

I've noticed it's more swollen on the broken leg, but I forget that I was only 3 scant months from the rod removal at that point. I don't know the meaning of Take It Easy.

Someone bash me in the head so that I get it.

I was at the dentist yesterday for a filling that was discovered when I had my tooth pulled. Very small cavity, but in a hard to find spot.

I was lying in the chair with my head down for about half an hour. While in the chair toward the end, I got a super bad headache JUST LIKE THAT. I told the dentist I must be allergic to Novocaine.

It stayed with me all day, and all night. I had to lie down, it was so bad. It's still not gone this morning.

I was doing fairly well for a while. Damn.

There's no point in telling any medical professional this. I know the reaction. I'll get an 'Oh?' and that will be the end of that discussion.

Even though I have had enough tests to show I am the MODEL OF HEALTH with nothing showing up anywhere, I still feel like I'm in horrible shape physically. Mentally, I've always been a bit 'off'.

If this is permanent, I'm hosed.

Maybe you just need a nice relaxing vacation, take a trip to the islands, or a cruise.....maybe your hood' is toxic.

We did just take a vacation last month. Jeff skied Timberline and we spent 3 days at Gold Beach, Oregon doing nothing but resting. All I got was some swelling.

If you think a cruise would be good, send funds and I'll go. There's no plant life at sea.
We're moving into an immaculate house in a month. I'm wondering what that will do!

In the meantime, for your entertainment, some medical foolishness:

When a panel of doctors was asked to vote on adding a new wing to their hospital, the Allergists voted to scratch it and the Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.

The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the administration had a lot of nerve, and the Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception.

The Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted; the Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body", while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, the Radiologists could see right through it, and the Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.

The Internists though it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists felt the scheme wouldn't hold water.

The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart ! to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists left the decision up to some azzwhole in administration.

This morning I woke up when the phone rang. I reached for it and both of my hands were numb. I couldn't take out one of my earplugs (I sleep with them because of it cuts out a lot of noise) because I couldn't feel it. My fingers were not working.

After I fumbled that out I tried to pick up the phone, dropped it, and had to use 'claws' to hold it. Then I tried to push the talk button. It was a nightmare in 4 rings!

I have had this problem before, but not this bad. I have been waking up lately with numb arms, and I'm not sleeping on both of them, that's for sure.

I'm hoping this is another Neurontin side effect. If not, then I have another clue to the mystery.
I have fallen asleep on both my arms....what a weird feeling, no sensation heavy and they felt like someone elses body parts were in my bed and attached to my shoulders.
I've had that happen when I wasn't sleeping on both arms, I sleep on my side or stomach. I chalked it up to a king in my sleeve/armpit that cut off the blood to the other arm.
