I´ve heard that he won the qualifying on Friday but does someone know how he did at the ski-cross-competitions today???

Fell, two gates into the final.

Seems like he was either cut off, or took a cross-ways line after a less-than-stellar hole shot.

Interviewed afterwards and he'll "be back" . . . Daron rocks, best of luck!

: Do you have a clue how he did in the run till he fell?
He also fell at The Ski-Tour 2 weeks ago.

But I´m happy that he´ll keep on trying!

He won both the quarters and semis but in the final, he has a bad start in the start and was languishing back at 5th or 6th till he caught his inside ski and went flying..

He was killin it until the finals. I don't think the other guys will be able to keep up with Daron if he keeps it up.

Yeah, D was killin' 'em. At every turn, he'd come out 10 feet further in front of everyone else. but as is the rule with skier cross, it's all about the carnage. I saw an another race he was in a week or two ago, and he couldn't get out of the start very well. Because he can turn so much better than anyone else, he was able to make a lot of passes (which is unusual in skierX), but he did the same thing and went down in the final, trying to pass someone. In his interview afterward, he said he had to work on his starts. He obviously did, and was getting some good hole shots until the finals, when he didn't get out fast enough and wasn't able to skate because other people's skis were in the way. Once that happens, you're toast, and have to try to pass people.

No one can ski with him with clear lines in front of him, a bad start and he's at a disadvantage, just like everyone else...only he's smaller.

He looked great. 2010 olympics?

Silly question. Are skierXers forbidden from wearing a GS suit? If not, why hasn't Daron busted out his DH suit + whatever pads he usually wears? If they are forbidden, why?

Go to www.expn.com you can see the footage of the final there. No speed suits in Skier X comps, just tight clothing. Daron needs to figure out his starts then he will do well, look for him to improve next weekend at the Ski Tour in Breck. Check out the mono skier X while you are at the expn site.
Have fun.

Anyone know what atomic skis he was on in the skier x? I looked at the atomic website and didnt see any that looked the same...

I know these guys get specific skis that arent available to the public, but still the topsheet looked pretty sweet, for an atomic even ; )

Daron and the Atomic Ski Cross team are skiing on either 191 or 193 World Cup GS skis with some sort of SuperCross graphics.
Have fun.

Puckett just has a much better start for now.

I am pretty sure they used to ski in speed suits, they must have changed the rules to further distinguish themselves from FIS racing. Seems silly to me, X-games emphasises freestyle then they go and restrict what you wear based on aesthetics.
