Yeah, D was killin' 'em. At every turn, he'd come out 10 feet further in front of everyone else. but as is the rule with skier cross, it's all about the carnage. I saw an another race he was in a week or two ago, and he couldn't get out of the start very well. Because he can turn so much better than anyone else, he was able to make a lot of passes (which is unusual in skierX), but he did the same thing and went down in the final, trying to pass someone. In his interview afterward, he said he had to work on his starts. He obviously did, and was getting some good hole shots until the finals, when he didn't get out fast enough and wasn't able to skate because other people's skis were in the way. Once that happens, you're toast, and have to try to pass people.
