Can it be true? TWC is predicting intermittent snow starting tonite and continuing with flurries through Friday. Tomorrow's high is 41 so it will likely be insanity on the roads tomorrow.

Maybe this it the beginning of the end of the no snow year in the East? Let's hope.

The last three days have been rough and I can identify with Colorado ... my "chronicle" ...

Thursday .... evening was coming on and I had to battle the flurries that actually made me use the wipers to clear the spots on the windshield ... twice!

Firday .... imagine my horror to see almost an inch of snow. I spent the day huddled in doors sipping hot coffee. It melted before I was forced to take action. Yuki and family cheat death again.

Saturday ... the gods are against us! Another "almost a inch". I trembled, after a flick of the wipers; would I make it down the driveway to get milk and bread? You can imagine my relief that I didn't have to go into 4X4 mode; the white stuff on the road was actually salt that the town had poured on heavier than the "snow" .... they have to get rid of it or face a dreaded budget surplus!

I hear you. I ran out and replaced the wiper blades on the Trooper and bought a "hoppy" snow shovel:

The handle telescopes and detaches and the blade fits in the pocket of my pack. Only $ 7.99 on closeout at the East Brunswick Pep Boys, they were probably glad to get rid of it.

We have two of those. They are sitting next to the garage door.

I almost put them in the cars today ... but that would mean no snow for sure. The minute you put in the shovel and sack of sand ... it's too late.

A sure jinx.

Mine is sitting in the front hall closet for exactly the same reason.

Mountain Creek is still only reporting 3 of 11 runs open...
