As seen here:

They are intentionally convex.

(Putting a binding jig on was an -interesting- experience as they do not lie flat on a bench/vise top.
No iron fits to wax them- at least they're not too big to use a cork every day)

The edges are screwed in.

(And, since the convexity isn't a simple arc, I can't use hand tuning tools that use the ski bases as a reference. Running an Arkansas stone freehand along the side edge is the best I can do, or is it?)

I am particularly interested in any ideas on how to maintain the convex shape . Do I need to form a scraper to the arc shape (and should do it soon before too much base wear occurs)?
