WTB: 2006 Fischer RX8 165-170cm w/FX12 Railflex2 bindings

Hey guys I am looking to replace my 177cm 2005 Blizzard X05 skis for 2006 Fischer RX8 165-170cm with FX12 Railflex2 bindings, used (90-100% condition) or NEW, not the 2007 (this season's) model, but last years model. It is the same ski and has not changed, but I like 2006 model graphics better, and plus it would be a better deal money wise, since it is last season's model. Here is a pic of the ski:

On ebay these skis sell for arround $480-500 NEW, shipped with bindings. If anyone has them cheaper or wants to get rid of their used ones. I will consider to take them of your hands. Pm with details

wow this is freaky.. I had the exact same progression X05-Rx8 and even the same length.. Good luck finding the skis..

If it wasn't for the trips out west this winter and spring I'd make you a deal on mine. Doesn't look like they will get much use in Mi this winter. Good luck on finding a pair, they are as good as the reviews they get.

New 2006 RX-8 165 w/FX-12

I have a new pair. Bindings are mounted and are easily adjusted for any size boot. They have a few coats of base prep and I can wax them before shipping.
I have four new pairs of Fischers to ski this winter but haven't done so due to lack of snow. Would consider selling the RX-8s if you are still interested.

so no one has a pair of used 90% condition RX8's? I guess I will have better luck at the end of the season to save money and not buying new ones..

No kidding. How is a legitimate shop supposed to make any money when they are selling BELOW WHOLESALE from an online Ebay outfit in early January? This isn't a small, struggling ski shop selling them, it is obviously a large liquidator who purchased up a huge stock and is dumping them. If this is going to be allowed to happen in January, then why do we small shops even bother? The distrubutor should either:
1) make the wholesaler wait until March to dump the product
2) re-imburse all of the small shops the price difference that the large outfit paid. I bet that the Ebay liquidator paid 1/2 of what we shops paid. Fischer is simply stabbing their dealers in the back (after taking their money, of course).

I know I saw that. But I would like to get used ones, 2006 model and pay half of what I can get on ebay now. Why a pair of dark sunglasses (Mark Thomson)?!

I knew the lack of snow in a lot of the country (although way too much in my yard right now) was going to really impact ski shops this year. I've got to believe it's only going to get worse as everyone starts trying to unload inventory while you can still ski somewhere. What do you think it actually costs to build a pair of skis w/bindings? $100? $150? I have no idea, but all of Fischer's other costs (ads, marketing) are sunk, nothing to be done there. If you can make a ski for $100 and wholesale it for $250 it's better than nothing, and everyone in the "normal" chain gets screwed. Good luck Dawg.

It is unlikely you will find what you are specifying at the price you want to spend. Consider either spending a few bucks more or taking an older pair.
Just a suggestion.
