Volant Genesis Silver @ STP for $340, good deal?

Hi everyone,

Been lurking on these forums for a while, leeching off the great knowledge here I came across the Volant Genesis Silver skis + Atomic Neox 412 bindings @ STP for $340, and it looks like a pretty good deal to me and I was considering picking them up. I have a couple of questions and hoped to solicit some opinions about these.

1. I read a bit about the "demise" of Volant since being bought by Atomic, should I worry about buying these skis? They seem like a pretty good price since they include the Atomic 412 bindings, although I am worried after reading about how some people have had issues with their skis bending. Has the build quality of these Volant gone down? Is this considered a good deal?

2. Are these good skis for me? I'm 6'0", 230lbs, and I consider myself an intermediate/advance skiier, skiing mostly on the East Coast (PA, NY, and New England).

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

EDIT - Link to the skis at STP - http://www.sierratradingpost.com/pro...dings---Silver-

They also have the Genesis Platinum for $500 but that's a bit out of my price range - http://www.sierratradingpost.com/p/3...-Platinum.html

It is a good price especially if it includes a Neox412 but...they they will bend, other than the FB's I sold after 3 days I bent every pair of V2 Volants. 6'0" 230? I would be surprised if you don't too.
