Salomon X-Wing Fury OR K2 Lotta Luv? Yes, A Girl Question.

Alright Brilliant Bears, help me out. My perpetual quest for new skis has left two interesting candidates, the Lotta Luv and the XW Fury. I am spending most of my time off-piste (bowls, trees, wherever the masses are not) but I do like an occasional bump run or groomer. I ski mostly in Vail. To complete my exciting stick biography, I am an advanced skier, 5'7, 120 lbs., athletic with a sparkling personality and love of Nordic porn (OK, just seeing if you are reading).

In looking for new skis for Mr. SnoCat, I read some strong GIRL reviews of the Fury (2007 Gear Review Skipressworld.com). Historically, I like women's specific skis; however, the Fury intrigues me. Perhaps all the Rosie O'Donnell press is having a subconscious effect on my shopping. At the same time, the Lotta Luv seems a sweet option for my semi-aggressive spirit and semi-aging legs.

I could really use some additional insight/opinions on these two lovely contestants. Fire away...

I have Lotta Luvs

Last year was their first season down here in Aus, and i thoroughly enjoyed them.

I too have aging legs and a semi aggressive spirit and they are just the ski to lift my spirits. The more aggressively i ski the more they respond to the terrain - rough, powder or ice. yet when just cruising i find them a comfortable ride. Sorry i cant be more technical; i did research them thoroughly against my skiing ability ( aging, competent yet timid; double blacks occassionally; blue/greens by afternoon ) and i have had nothing to complain about with this choice. If anything, i dont feel i have skied up to them fully just yet. I cant say i've conquered powder yet ( ice is our forte here in Aus.) but last christmas i had fleeting glimpses of floating through the stuff on them. So i'm happy with their width under foot.

i hope this precis helps. I will be having my first ski in Vail in Feb and i Plan to be a legend in my own mind on the skis i'm totally in love with.. ( not to mention the floral graphics match my floral pants - how more girly do you want??)

cheers

My wife loves the Lotta's. She is about your size and can rip the bumps on the 153's.
