You - How Many Days? - Page 2

I'll probably get 110 or so.
I hope to ski Hood in winter, possibly Bachlor and Mt Ashland. I've got some Sept 13th tickets rebooked for Dec.

As far as what I'm going to try goes I guess I'd like to land a switch 540, I got a couple of switch 360's last year.

: Isn't a switch when you land a jump the opposite direction? How do you land a 360 switch? Just a curious older skier trying to understand the new school terms.
Or I guess if you are in a pipe, wouldn't it have to be a 720?

You take off switched.

dchan, doing a jump "switch" just means you take off backwards. Switch never describes how you land. You just do the math to figure out how the person lands. (A switch 360 involves taking off backwards, spinning 1 full rev around, and landing backwards. A switch 540, involves taking off backwards, 1.5 revs around and landing forwards, etc.)

Get it?

PS. Yes, taking off of a jump switch is just as wacked as it sounds, but you get the feel for it after a while.
