Skis for an upper-intermediate

I'm looking for skis for myself. I'm 5'9"-5'10" 150lbs and I can ski down almost everything I but need a little work with going down moguls with consistency. I want skis that will help me with my moguls and still fit me for my all-mountain and groomed runs. I need skis by Jan 5 so I can't really demo many skis.

HI! Could you give us a little more info about yourself? Where you typically ski, what you like or don't like in a ski? Also, what is your ability level?

For mogul skis, you may not want the stiffest ski out there. The K2 Crossfire and Head iM72 seem to be solid choices in moguls, as is the Legend 4800 (of the skis I have tried) and these are great all-around choices as well. I am assuming you are level 6/7 with these recommendations. I also really like the Fischer RX6 or RX6 for a bit narrower choice. The Elan Speedwave 12 is a bit more demanding but a good choice for all-around skiing with a short-turn preference. I haven't tried the Nordica Mach 3 in bumps, but I bet it would be fine in a shorter length. Length-wise, you will most likely be in the 165-170cm range, depending on the model.

PM me, and I can probably give you some more advice on some skis you may want to look at. Good luck!

Scott
