I notice you haven't explained what is "really important to our sport."
Thanks for playing. Isn't recess over?

The point i am trying to make is...Do you actually think that bashing the way some people choose to ride mountains by generalizing is fair? I think a lot of people out there are missing the point that everyone is out there riding the same terrain (unless youre lucky enough to be at Alta, Taos, Mad River...etc) and there is no need to criticize. Appreciate each sport for what it is, and the people for who they are. I have seen plenty of younger (and sometimes older) skiers smoking in lift line, sliding sideways down expert runs, standing in blind spots, hitting blind cat-tracks,taking out others on the hill, etc.. its just easier to pick on the snowboarders because youre not one of them.
We should worry about the progression of our sport, skiing, and keeping that alive, and not be stuck on the whole skier/boarder issue. Its 2002, not 1992. snowboarders are here to stay. As long as there are adolescent punks, as well as beginners, we will have some people on our hills who we may not agree with. In time, they will either give it up or come around and realize how badly that have been acting.
And the whole "recess is over" thing?
What are you trying to say?
