Maybe I'm just getting old and my memory is getting spotty but this just doesn't seem right. I'm in NJ as well (mainly a Camelback skier) but ski much of the Northeast. For years we've been able to go up to Killington, Sunday River and others and ski a pretty full slate over Thanksgiving and it only improved from there. Here it is January 1st and Camelback is 100% closed. It's 50 degrees at Killington.
We haven't had a decent Thanksgiving now in several years. However, during that time Christmas wasn't a problem. Now we can't even ski over New Years.....
If it's still 50 degrees in 2 weeks I'm going to start thinking about moving to the Arctic before everyone else gets the idea and prices go through the roof.
