Lange gave themselves an opportunity to mature beyond the dopey Austin Powers mentality that they showed us in the sixties and seventies, and they blew it.

But that doesn't make it right. It doesn't make it supportive of girls' healthy body images. And it certainly doesn't make it the best use they could have come up with for this first-rate spokesperson — merely the easiest and most conventional.
