We just got a foot of snow at the resort levels today! I work at Sierra at Tahoe and let me tell you, there were a lot of happy customers and employees. As of tommorrow I think you will find most resorts will gave all of their green runs open, most of their blue runs, and a few blacks.
Just got this off the NAtional Weather Service discussion page:
TOMORROW LOOKS LIKE A QUIET WEATHER DAY...BUT THE PATTERN IS NOW ADVERTISED TO BE MUCH MORE ACTIVE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. A SERIES OF TRANSITORY TROUGHS ARE NOW PROGGED TO AFFECT OUR AREA...FIRST ON FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY...WITH PERHAPS A STRONGER/WETTER SYSTEM FOR SUNDAY NIGHT/MONDAY. TIMING WILL BE TOUGH IN SUCH A PROGRESSIVE PATTERN. WILL WAIT FOR ANOTHER RUN OR TWO BEFORE GETTING TOO EXCITED...BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THE MONDAY SYSTEM MAY
BE A SIGNIFICANT RAIN AND SNOW PRODUCER FOR MUCH OF NORTHERN CA.
