Instructors Listing - East Coast Where Are You?

I was just looking through the EpicSki instructors listing and noticed that abundance of instructors from everywhere other than the East. For those of us in New York... we should be ashamed of ourselves. I KNOW there are more instructors in New York than just Stache - the only guy here representing us in the Empire State.

Beyond that what about New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. I hear that there is skiing and instruction up there. I know you are out there... (I won't name names )

Am I supposed to sign up on some kind of list?

The details for the instructor listing and the requirements to be listed are right here.

Check this thread for more details.

Overall I was just surprised to see so few instructors in the east because there are several at EpicSki.

BTW - Stache is now teaching in Mass.

My personal view is that the main purpose of the EpicSki Instructor Listing is to be a resource for Barking Bears who are looking for instruction. The idea here is that the listing can be used to find instructors with certain qualifications or specialities and that the links between the listing and the posting history can be used to "check up" on the pro to see what they are like ahead of time.

The EpicSki Instructor listing is not for every ski instructor visiting EpicSki.
It's a perk for instructors who are both active posters and EpicSki supporters. Hopefully, the listing will be a private lesson generator for instructors and thus a win-win-win deal for instructors, Barking Bears and EpicSki.

Ahhh . . . well being neither an active poster nor a EpicSki supporter (and a marginal ski instructor at best), I will delay my signing of said list until I achieve my Level III Certification.

Jiminy Peak is just three miles over the NY/MA line and Stache will go just about anywhere in exchange for a lift ticket, a burger and a few beers, even further if you cover the fuel (gas or JP5).

I have had more than a few private lessons with fellow Barking Bears who checked me out here before showing up on snow. The best part was getting alot of the background info via email and PMs ahead of time. For both of us it made for a more efficient lesson. Also because of the forum, we were able to follow up after the lesson.

Probably Feb 26th-27th at Cannon . . . but I might delay it if January looks like another crappy snow month.

Stache, my gf and I might be heading out there for a few days/weekends this year. I will shoot you a PM if we are going to be there. She is in Albany, so it is pretty close.
