on-snow binding test

I remember thirty years ago I was told to always "TEST" my bindings each morning by twisting out of the binding and that if you were strong enough to twist out at the toe your binding setting was OK. Is this still valid advice?

I use to do that too. Not anymore. Good way to injure yourself.

Not a valid test. It just means you have good leverage. One of my team mates was able to twist out of his Tyrolia race bindings when set at their maximum 24DIN. When he crashed in a downhill, his leg and ski were doing 360 rotations one way and back the other. 6 surgeries later he was finally able to start rehab.
