Fischer MX Pro fit question

Thread Starter
Does anybody here have a sense for how the Fischer MX Pro fits in comparison to the Head S12?

I am currently in the Head, size 29.5. I am interested in trying on the MX Pro, but have only found it in size 29. As it's an eight hour drive to the only boot shop I can find that carries any Fischers, it would be nice to hear some expert opinions before I make the drive.

My experience and my experience only with the new X-Fire, which is one of their better all mountain boots was that they ran large...

I would agree. I do have the MX-Pro.
I got them last season. This season's model is the same except for the color. It's a great boot.

Thinking more about the post above, as far as shell length, I can't imagine that there would be a problem between your Head's and the Fischer MX-Pro. Any liner issues should be easily dealt with.

For years I've skied in Flexons in a 310mm ( the shell stretched to widen them somewhat). I'm now in a 302mm Fischer shell. In liners I went from a size 27 FLexon Themoflex to a sized 26 Fischer liner slightly stretched at the toe.

The most important question is whether the Fischer boots will be a good general fit for your foot or whether they will need a lot of work.
You may not really know that until you put your feet in them which will require that long drive.

Given that the Flexon (unaltered) best fits a medium/narrow foot, I would say that relatively speaking, the Fischer MX Pro is (unaltered) easily on the medium side of medium. Hope this helps a little.
