Okemo for real?

post #1 of 6

Hi;
Getting desperate enough to think of paying to ski, (have pass @ Gore, not enough open right now), and I see Okemo has 32. I'd really like to get out, so I go into the site and see that they're charging $72 on a weekend!!: Are they nuts???? Are they really charging that with only 32 open, (which probably translates to ~20), and before the season really starts? Is there some sort of secret code I can give 'em and ski for less? If that's for real, I guess I'll have to strap on the skis on the familyroom floor and watch the races on Sat. afternoon on cable.
Done ranting....thanks, I feel much better!

If you're going to go there with any regularity, then you can always get the FlexCard for $90... Gives you 25% off weekend tickets and 50% off weekday tickets.

There's a couple people here who work for the mountain who probably know other tricks. Send Max Capacity a PM and ask him for suggestions; he's the resident Okemo wizard.

There are early season discount cards of $15 floating around that were given out last Spring. Maybe you can score one of those.

The conversion of trail count to actual paths down the mountain is ~3. So 32 trails would be 10 ways down if you don't work in marketing.

CB--you ain't missing nothing!--by saturday (after a week of high 40's low 50's and rain) skiing will pretty much suck (especially at 72 bucks!) anywhere south of Canada here in the east. Save your money and go biking-it's supposed to be sunny and hih forties this wekend.

OKEMO is not worth 72.00 in the best of conditions!

Okemo: Lift ticket prices are still being offered at discounted at early season rates of just $55 for adults, $47 for young adults and seniors and $36 for juniors and super seniors

and by the way, if hunter can charge 56 dollars for their one high speed and 50 trails, okemo can charge 72 for 5 high speeds and 118 trails

I was gonna say, they do have discounted rates right now. Hey - prices suck. But they do lay down the snow and that costs money.
