FS: Rossignol Zenith Z9 170 cm

I had been planning to use these specifically for on-piste carving days, but I actually love the way my new Mojo 90's are running on the groomers, so I no longer have any need for these.

They were demo skis, with Axium 300 bindings. I personally only put 2 days on them myself, can't really guess how many days before that.

These are in phenomenal performance condition, however there are several minor nicks and scratches on the topsheets. You can only really notice when you examine really close up, looking at them on your feet from a chairlift they still look brand new other than scratches on the silver decal.

Bases: 9.5/10 (Doesn't look like they've ever even seen a P-Tex repair)
Edges: 9/10
Topsheets: 8/10
Bindings: 8/10 (a little wear and tear, but still perfectly functioning and safe)

I bought these at a ski swap and am looking to get back what I paid, $450 CAD, or $400 USD + shipping (Bindings included). Local sale would be sweet, but I'm happy to ship them too.

I can email pics, and will post them ASAP when I host them somewhere.

I am interested in these. There is another person on the forums who is selling theirs for 350 + S/H (US). Would you consider matching or beating that price? Also, I wouldnt mind if you emailed me some digital photos if so. It would allow me to evaluate the product. If interested, please PM me so I can send you my email address for contact purposes.Cheers,Trevor

Nice first post... I'm the other guy, and I don't remember you contacting me, Trevor...

Come on in and lowball in the classifieds. : The skis are easily worth what he's asking. If you want lowball deals and price matching, go to eBay.

Thanks axe, any luck selling your pair yet?

Sorry Panther, I've already turned down a slightly better offer than yours so I'm going to have to keep holding out for a bit more.

Nah. I'm keeping them (same as your except mine are a 176cm, and have Axial 2 bindings). Good skis. I was trying to free up some pre-Christmas cash, but ended up doing alright without having to sell. I'm kinda glad it worked out that way. I think they'll get plenty use out in Big Sky in about 10 days.

People seem to be afraid of the "longest ski in that model" curse -- I don't think they're difficult to handle by ANY means. Not as nimble as a 170, but they TURN!

Good luck!

This post is a little silly. You are/were selling a pair of 176s, which I dont want. So, sorry I did not contact your for an item in which I have no interest.

Second, lowball classifieds? Are you serious. This is not a ski shop. This is a marketplace. I don't know if you have ever stepped outside into the real world, but there is this new concept called negotiation. I know, I know, it is a fairly revolutionary concept and might just might be me thinking outside of the box. FYI, I have blanketed the net to find the object I want, for the price I want. No harm in that. The OP just stated he had received a better offer and I had no hard feelings with that. I am not sure why you felt it necessary to wedge your 2 bits in someone elses dealings.

SO, to the OP, thanks for the consideration. For the interloper, please think a little before posting...I am sure everyone would appreciate that little courtesy.

Btw, post counts do not make the person, it is the quality that speaks volumes.

Silly? So are yours as a first and second post. First, lowball, second, slam a contributing member on something that's somewhat frowned upon around here - firsts posts being classifieds.

I had a big post typed out, but why bother? You don't contribute, so I won't see you around anyway.

The issue in my eyes is that you cite MY POST, and make it seem like you talked to me about it and used it - like you had communicated with me or something. You didn't, but whatever. Hope you find some nice skis. Have a nice day.

Wanna trade? Even at my size (5'11", 185#) I think the 170's would be fine, but with the 176, I don't have to really worry about a speed limit.

Mine got pretty beat up in MT last week, but did well in nearly every situation I was in - even bumps, which I hate. Great carvers though - you fell like you're about 1/2 mile off the snow. : They're tall!!

I'd probably consider that if I wouldn't have to pay ~80 bucks for customs. NAFTA sucks.

AMEN! I think I'm looking for something just a bit more all-mountain - something along the lines of the B2 or B3 or (GASP!!) the Salomon Foil or Gun. These are a great ski though. How do you like your Mojo's for comparison?

I love the Mojo's, in fact I enjoy carving them as much as the Z9's (long radius anyways) which is why the z9's must go. I'd owned a pair of Guns and like them until they got stolen, but I definitely prefer the Mojo's.
