I am all for Elan and I respect Head as a company too but they are three figureheads for U.S. skiers and all were on K2. This is my first year ever owning a K2 (Seths), I will be selling them now. I really want no association with this company and the way they disgard the people who made them what they were.
Well, K2 didn't seem to care too much about all those workers they laid off when they moved production to China. You'd think that they would have tried to keep some production in the US. Their management job with Olin and Pre just sucked - ran them into the ground. God knows what they're going to do with Volkl. Fortunately, for my size and wt, their skis are pretty much useless under my normal conditions, so I use Fischer or Head.
The amazing thing is Plake is probably the most recognized skier in the US. He sells stuff, look at the Krypton and he's a tireless promotion guy. Every one was talking about how great Miller is, well Phil won the overall World Cup 3 times competing against guys like Stenmark
