Skier ability: Advanced
Terrain: Michigan Groomers significant man made snow
Mid 30's, sunny
I bought these skis during the summer because I made a deal with Fox that any woman ski he demo'd and liked I would buy. Never imagined that he'd actually demo a woman's ski.
Finally got a chance to ski on them after some, much awaited, snow.
I skied solely on the Metron B5 because I was trying the new boots and wanted to make sure I was on a ski my body was familiar with, while getting the feel of the new boots.
I started on the Metron, but quickly turned them over for the K2 Burnin Luv's. Let me just say WOW!
I've never been fond of women skis because they feel a bit noodly to me. I knew that the Burnin luv had the reviews for being a substantial ski but I had no idea.
The properties that they have are very similar to the metrons I've been on but without the weight, and with more edge hold. They went through the marbles great, carved nicely down the limited steeps I have available, and Flew! My husband and my sister both said they had to really push to stay with me, more so than when I was on my B5's
I would recommend these skis for anyone looking for an all around, fast, stable, technical ski. If you find a deal on the Burnin luv you'd better snatch it up. I won't be selling this one any time soon.
