Summit County 17-19 Dec?

Hello Bears!

I'll be making my 1st turns of the season skiing in Summit for 3 days from 17-19 Dec.

Would like to meet up with anyone who can come out. I have to pick up my Abasin season pass on Sunday morning, so would like to ski there or Keystone on Sunday.

The other 2 days I would like to go to Breck/Keystone/Abasin as it's free, but I could probably be persuaded to hit Loveland or Winter Park/Copper one of those days.

Look forward to meeting up with some folks and hope the snow continues to fly:

I'll try to make the 17th. I could do any of the Vail resorts or Loveland.

Sounds good Faisal and I'm leaning towards Abasin on Sunday right now, but could be pursuaded to others you mentioned depending on who else chimes in.

I'll chime in. I have the 17th & 18th off from work and could be easily convinced to ski with you guys one or both days at vail resorts or copper.

Sounds great dawnhill and there's a good possibility Bong and/or Sugarcube can join us 1 or both days.

Yes!! Jim, you may remember that A-Basin and I didn't get along real well last year (SugarCube---Powder---Trees---SMASH!--thus my new signature!) but I'm up for Keystone, Breck, and Loveland for sure!

I will probably be working Copper on the 19th, so let me know if you need cheaper tickets. Here is a review of the current trail and lift openings:

I'll be at Copper with the girls on the 18th, so if you happen to plan to be there, I'd love to hook up. We won't be skiing fast, but we'll be having fun! I'm hoping that bong will be available to ski with us, but we'd welcome others...

Try a few days later and I'll be there. December 23 - 31 and Jan 8 - 15 for me.

Let's do Loveland on the 17th!

I'll be in the cafeteria around 8:15. Faisal knows who I am and Sugarcube and I will probably ride together if she can make it. Dawnhill knows Faisal so we should all be able to pick each other out.

For anyone else interested on the 17th, I'll be the 6'6" inch guy in a mostly red Spyder jacket with black and yellow Dalbello boots.

I'm the one on the left in the pic and Sugarcube is in the middle.

Steve I'll get your number from Bong and let you know about the 18th. I'll only be 6.5 weeks removed from knee surgery when I get out there, so a good mellow cruising day with you and the girls might be in order.

Lisamarie,

Thanks for the ticket offer and I'll let you know if I need to take you up on it. It's going to be good to be on snow again and it looks like some fresh is on the way next week.

Jim, just got back from a couple of hours at Loveland and the snow was fab. I stuck to groomers today too (Uncle Louie gave me more homework!) and laps off of 6 chair were a blast! I may need a short day though as I just lost my dog-walker and don't have anyone lined up yet to take care of the Wonder Dog, but we can work that out. We definitely need more snow and since I'm on the road for a few days next week, that all but guarantees it! See you soon!

I can't do Loveland (only Vail resorts or copper). Hope you have a great time though.

Change one to plan A. Everyone OK with Keystone on the 17th?

I'll need to pick up my Abasin pass and vouchers at 8:00 am on Sunday which would put me at Keystone around 8:45 I would guess.

Keystone on the 17th is good for me.

An update to let everyone know that due to the somewhat unexpected need to send our Dog "Stoney" to that happy Dog place in the sky today, I'll not be making it out this weekend

Thanks to everyone for extending their hospitality to ski with me and I'm looking at maybe doing the same thing 6-10 Jan for a pre ESA tuneup.

I'll post another thread when plans are made and hope to see & ski with all of you then.

Thanks again everyone!

Jim

Oh and please get out and enjoy the Powder it looks like is coming this weekend

That's too bad, Jim.

So all the others -- do you have a preference for either Saturday or Sunday? Keystone or Breck? I'm good for either day, but Saturday would probably be marginally better for me.

Darn that is just too sad. Our pets should live forever. My thoughts and tears are with you.
