I present you the Lacroix Ultimate.

At 42000 E, what's not to like ?

To be carried in style with the silver fox fur ski tote, of course.

Not to be outdone...you can now wear and ski in Chanel

Chanel Quilted Leather Skis represent the epitome of luxury. Created for the label's Fall/Winter 2006 Sport collection, these skis have a wooden core but are covered in a textured, quilted leather. I doubt these are going to handle hardcore bumps, but they will sure make you look great. You can buy them for a mere $2,550 directly through a Chanel Boutique by calling (212)355-5050.

I'd like to see someone standing on those in a busy Austrian liftline.

Are you sure that the fur thing is for the skis?

Don't forget:

1. Wally (makers of fine James Bond-styled super yaughts)

2. Bogner (I believe one of the first companies to utilize bamboo in their skis...if you can afford such a luxury)
http://www.bogner.com/

But I think the leather skis that come with leather SNOWBOARD boots are the best!

Interesting boots. For skiing, that is.

Has anybody ever actually seen a pair of these -- either in a shop or on the feet of somebody at a resort? I'm going to Aspen ESA, and a part of me wants to check out the glitz (something I usually avoid like the plague)... The other larger part of me wants to stay as far away from glitzy Aspen as possible.

Good catch on the boots. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps they're the new Chanel soft boot designed specifically to be used with their quilted leather skis?

That said, have you noticed the trend of super high end skis not really caring too much if all the gear they show in the picture is accurate? For example when I announced these skis in the office one of my female co-worker came rushing over screaming how much she loves Chanel. When I pointed out that the boots were snowboard boots (or burly Ugg boots) she immediately said "Only a ski geek like you would notice that!"

There was a post on here several months ago that had a picture of Posh Spice sporting Chanel skis, but they weren't the leather ones. Wonder if she's upgraded this season?

Fine, Corinthian leather!

Nice!

(I actually had Dale Bozio's voice ringing through my head from her cameo on Frank Zappa's Joes Garage Pt. 1...she has a line in one of the songs where she giggles "with leather?" while Frank is talking all smarmy and lecherously in the background. Classic).

I have seen the Bogner skis and they were the nicest skis I'ver ever seen. Nice in a way that you'd have to see and touch them in person to appreciate. Nice like a Bentley.

I hate to admit it...I came close to buying a pair of Bogner skis that were on sale in Locarno CH about ten years ago. They looked lovely, and the manager of the store (Belotti Sport I believe) said nothing but wonderful things about them. I had purchased other skis from him in the past and he never steered me wrong.

I saw them at gorsuch in Vail Village. They were not the nicest skis I had ever seen, although the shop manager said they actually skied pretty well.

I highly doubt they are the widest ever produced. Wider than the pontoon or the fatypus?

I doubt it. Also, who the hell buys a 176 cm deep powder ski?
