My first ski race

Well I did it - I entered my first ski race on Satudrday and had a blast. I achieved my two fgoals for the day: I made it through the course without missing any gates or falling down. Of course both of my kids had better times than me, but it fun. Maybe next season I'll take up ski racing

congratulations, that's the way to go, IMHO.
Don't let the pressure lean on you, have fun!
And the results will come.

Track down a Masters program or town league in your area that offers some sort of training and you'll see just how addictive it can be. It's always nice to have new people try racing and enjoy it, so tell a few friends and bring them along next time.

Sounds like you're hooked. Get the kids in it too. It's a great family sport.
Lots of programs in Ont. I think. At least I know lots of Canadian racers from there.

I feel compelled to give you the big heads up on this.

That simple little .... take em' in once a year for a tune ... days are over. Simple wax just won't do.

The shop never did get your edges sharp enough anyhoo .... did they? Gotta get a vise and some edge tools.

Don't tell your kids. Wait till they are in bed at least an hour before you sneak into the basement or garage ... hot wax high fluro fumes travel a long way and with a faster running ski you are sure to beat the little blighters.
