My sweetie and I drove up to WC for the day to get a fix. No snow in a while, but coverage was decent, not too many rocks showing, but not decent enough for us to venture onto the high ridge, although it was open. It was more like spring conditions - warm and sunny and a bit hard and rutted in the shade. A group of young bumpers was practicing on Alberta's face doing text book (Dan Dipiro's book anyhow) zipper-line and great fun to watch. The snow in the trees on the 'front' side was sketchy and variable, but the waterfall area had nicer, softer, more winter-like snow.

The lake looking down in the waterfall area (Said sweetie's mug was cropped out as i wasn't sure he'd want it posted on line...)

Early snow anyone? - heading over toward Alberta lift area

Last run of the day under Alberta lift; days are getting shorter, bumps getting bigger

Sun going down on the drive home.

Thanks for the pics, Mom. Looks like it was a pretty day. I haven't ventured up yet... I think I'll wait for another good dump before I do,
